Truly
the trip of a lifetime -- we traveled around
Cape Horn and on to
Antarctica
with stops in Chile and Argentina
on our "Trip to the End of the Earth."

France's Seine with several days in Paris, was a trip that we had put off for many years and now we wonder why.
Intriguing
India.
This was not a vacation but a "pilgrimage"
of sorts.
Our
view of the Middle East from a journey to
Israel,
Egypt and
Jordan.
Turkey
-- a dream trip for three weeks among antiquity,
early Christian sites, spectacular mosques, natural wonders, and other Turkish
delights.
A
trip around the
world took us to
Rome,
Spain,
London,
Korea,
Japan,
Australia,
Hawaii, and
San Francisco. We returned with photos, stories to
tell, and thoughts about
toilets,
internet cafes,
medical care, and
courting behavior around the world. We include our complete
itinerary.
In
Iceland we
found a different kind of spectacular beauty.
Japan and Beyond: Letters Home, our book on the web, evolved from the year we
lived in Japan and traveled in
Vietnam,
China,
Thailand,
Seoul,
Australia,
Okinawa, and
Hong Kong.
Going
through the
Panama Canal was awesome. Our plane ride was frightening and conditions aboard our
ship were awful, but the experience gave us lots of "retell"
value!
In
Eastern
Europe we cruised the Danube and visited
Romania, Bulgaria,
Serbia, and Hungary. It was an eye-opening trip.
Ponds have been a labor of love. We enjoy the serenity and beauty of
our ponds through the seasons and try to capture that in pictures. We invite
you to check out our new
Zelienople pond.
We
like to interact with
children
in our travels. We have been delighted to meet children of Vietnam and Japan,
Turkey,
Russia
and others from around
the world. In the innocence of children we see hope for the future.
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and
narrow-mindedness, all foes of real understanding."
Mark Twain
"It is not true that East
is East and West is West.
I am convinced that human nature is much the same no matter what
the clime flourishes.
People must be approached with trust and affection and you will
always be repaid 1000 fold."
Mohandas K. Gandhi
