Travel Tips

Recently we traveled around the world.  We completed 18 flights, totaling about 35,000 air miles; more than 1500 miles by bus; thousands of miles by train, including the bullet train (Shinkansen), in addition to other forms of transportation. We had no delayed flights or trains, no lost luggage, no missed connections, and no hotel foul-ups. It was a lot of fun and a challenge to plan the trip. It was an adventure to pack for four seasons without encumbering ourselves with too much luggage. It also was an interesting experience to wash clothes as we traveled. In addition to covering those topics, this section will include tips on getting money in foreign countries, sometimes not an easy thing to do.  Hope you will find something useful. For more information check out our links page.
